Partnership to Inspire, Transform and Connect the HIV response (PITCH)

Partnership to Inspire, Transform and Connect the HIV response (PITCH) was a strategic partnership between Aidsfonds, Frontline AIDS and the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The Project involves Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) working with most affected populations including People Who Use Drugs to strengthen their capacity and competence in advocating for equitable access to HIV and Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights for key populations and promoting innovative evidence-informed practice.

Sustained advocacy leading to government’s approval for the implementation of comprehensive harm reduction inclusive of Needle Syringe Program (NSP), Opioid Substitution Therapy (Medically Assisted Therapy), and overdose management (Naloxone) in Nigeria.

YouthRISE Nigeria is a member of the National Technical Working Group on Harm Reduction in Nigeria and has successfully work other national stakeholders to develop a road map, guideline documents and monitor the implementation of pilot NSP in-country.

Successful advocacy and contribution towards the development of HIV prevention guideline document for key population in Nigeria.
