Title: Program Assistant

Duration of Contract:  12 Months

Duty Station: Lagos State

Scope of Work

Working under the guidance and direct supervision of the State Program Officer, the Program Assistant will be responsible for assisting with the implementation, development, organization, co-ordination, and management of YouthRISE Nigeria’s programs and associated projects.

The Program Assistant will have the following duties and responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in conducting the implementation of project activities as contained in the workplan.
  • Assist in developing the monthly, quarterly & annual implementation & progress report.
  • Assist in documenting findings and lessons learned, success stories and best practices.
  • Assist in developing plans in encouraging clients to visit the DIC and access services.
  • Assist in facilitating formation of self-support groups in the DIC.
  • Ensuring a respectable environment for clients
  • Submit monthly reports to the Organization’s management and attend regular supervision meetings to present ongoing work and progress to the management; Ensures timely and proper implementation of the project.
  • Conducts field visits.
  • Provide support to meetings and conferences including proposing agenda topics, identifying and proposing participants, preparing background documents and presentations, and supporting administrative aspects;
  • Assist in establishing linkages with other referral services, Stake holders, CSOs, and other core partners.
  • Performed other tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications

Minimum of BSc or equivalent in Management, Social Sciences, or a related discipline.

Experience

  • Two or more years of experience in program implementation
  • Demonstrated ability in data analysis, project design, monitoring and evaluation (M&E) of development activities.
  • Exceptional skills in time management, and organization
  • Knowledge and Working experience in the area of harm reduction.
  • Experience in programme advocacy/communication
  • Working experience with people who use drugs.
